ECC was founded by a few close colleagues and friends whom have worked together across Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East for over 10 years, a brief profile of our founding partner and CEO, Doug Kinsella is as below:

• Doug was previously CEO and COO of AWR Lloyd a boutique Energy focused Advisory firm from March 2010 until June 2014.

• He brings to the role over 25 plus years of consulting and financial services experience across 3 continents, with the past 18 years based in Thailand, from where he has built an extensive network within the Greater Mekong region.

• Doug’s career started in Business Recovery Services with Coopers & Lybrand in the UK, before moving with the firm to Australia, where he spent 3 years in the Credit Risk Management team working on Corporate Re-structuring projects with large Australian companies, including Boral, SPHC Group and Kimberly Clark.

• In December 1998, when the Asian Financial Crisis was at its peak, Doug transferred to Thailand with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Financial Restructuring team. He worked on a number of restructuring projects, one of which was the merger of KTT with twelve finance companies.

• Doug moved to Grant Thornton as the Director of Finance & Administration from 2007 – 2009. In this capacity, he broadened his Asian experience, with responsibility for the daily operation of the Thailand firm along with a supporting role to GT’s Vietnam practice.
